Viktor Geiger's family

My maternal grandfather, Viktor Geiger, the author of this story, was born in 1902 in Teke, a village in Transylvania, today Teaca in Romania.

He was the ninth out of ten children born to a Hungarian Catholic family.

The couple had two daughters, Gabriella and Marta.

Gabriella married Antal Balasko, an accountant, in 1948.


Antonia Balasko, Gabriella’s daughter, Viktor’s granddaughter, who translated his story, married André in 1973.
